Non-regular update packet transmission (2)
Advantages
Reduction of update rates.
Guarantee about the overall accuracy of the remote state information.
Adaptation of the consistency-throughput based on the changing consistency demands of the net-VE
Problems
No update to be transmitted (the prediction algorithm is really good or the entity is not moving)
New participants will never receive any initial state.
Recipients cannot tell the difference between the network failure, no movement of entity, no change of object behavior.
To solve the problem, use the timeout on packet transmission ("heartbeat").
